What Up World? I am thrilled to meet you.
After working 20 years as an emergency room physician, one thing I've discovered is that some people just don't want to change...even when their life depends on it. As someone who genuinely cares for others, this has been a source of frustration and stress at times. Don't get me wrong, I realize change can be difficult. In fact, I once read that "the only person who likes change is a wet baby", lol.
A few years ago I began a journey of change myself. It started after I watched the movie "The Shift" by Dr. Wayne Dyer and realized that I wanted a better life for myself...a life with less stress and more time for the people, and things, that really mattered to me, but one that still allowed me to fulfill my purpose of helping others. The only question now was how to do it. Around that time, I was introduced to Network Marketing and I knew I had found a way.
Wait...stop...rewind...Did he just say Network Marketing? Don't "those people" harass their family and friends to buy stuff so they can make money off them? You may be asking yourself "why would an educated physician get mixed up in that"? Well my reply is simple...relationships and residual income.
First...RELATIONSHIPS. There are simply too many amazing testimonials to ignore of once desperate, unfulfilled people whose lives have been transformed because someone cared enough to share a product, service or business opportunity with them. The camaraderie and genuine support of other's success I have witnessed at company events, as well as the friendships I have made, have made me a champion for this industry. When done right, Network Marketing is all about building relationships.
Second...RESIDUAL INCOME. This is when you continue to get paid over and over for work you did once. Now before you start stoning me, hear me out. This is no different than insurance agents getting paid commissions every month for a policy they sold you once, or a music artist receiving royalties for a song they recorded once. Most people don't understand this because they are used to trading 40 hours of work each week for a paycheck...they have to keep doing the work over and over or they don't get paid. What happens if they get injured or ill and can't work? The paycheck stops...the bills pile up...they can lose everything. It shouldn't take an advanced degree to see which system is better. Residual income is one reason why many business leaders and economists recommend Network Marketing.
Bonus...PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT. Network Marketing has been described as "a personal development course disguised as a business opportunity". The amount of personal growth required to succeed in Network Marketing (and life) is substantial. That's why most Network Marketers have libraries full of books and training courses on becoming the best version of themselves. Their social media is full of positive and inspiring content. How is this a bad thing?
Over time, I have also been introduced to other forms of online marketing (affiliate and attraction) that share a lot of the same benefits. I am convinced that any of these are the best way for the average person to start their own home-based business. They are all low risk and low overhead, with unlimited time and financial potential. The success strategies and tools are pretty much the same whichever one of these business models you chose.
Okay, so before you start worrying that this blog is just going to be one giant pitch to get you to "join my deal", let me assure you that it is not. My message here is simple...I want to help you live a more abundant life. More abundance in your thinking, in your home based business and in your health (I am a physician after all, lol). If you have an open mind and want to succeed, I invite you to stick around. I will be sharing what has worked, and what hasn't, from my own journey. If, on the other hand my endorsement of Network Marketing was like fingernails on a chalkboard for you, then I hope you'll just leave peacefully knowing the door is always open.
Wishing You All The Best!
